Performing arts centres have an important role to play in shaping local cultural identity. The spaces they hold are places of innovation, learning and connection. They influence the economic and social vitality of a town. They sustain future practice both locally, and at a national level.

When programming is responsive to, and reflective of, place and people it strengthens social cohesion and creates a sense of community pride.

As the country grapples with the long term impacts of the pandemic, we look at how venues, small and large, are working collectively with their community to create opportunity for audiences and artists alike.

Join PAC Australia’s Katherine Connor and panellists including Felicity Green and Ari Palani for a conversation that is sure to reflect the diversity of the myriad of places we call home.
