SESSION: The Bump in Box
Online conversation with Elizabeth Rogers and Sarah HopeThe ‘Bump in Box’ provides the industry with a new model for arts touring – one that has long-term outcomes for teachers to be supported in creative work.
It is a theatre-making kit for Northern Territory schools that seeks to bridge the gap between access and resources in regional, remote and very remote schools. Using tested, innovative shows that have toured successfully to regional and very remote schools in the Northern Territory, the ‘Bump-in Box’ delivers stories which are relevant to the Territory.
This new model addresses the ongoing climate crisis, offering a way to deliver programs remotely without the carbon emissions of travel or the difficulties faced by regional and remote communities in accessing digital technology and reliable internet.
Join producer Elizabeth Rogers and playwright Sarah Hope as they unbox the first iteration of the Bump in Box; talking us through the successes, difficulties, learnings of the project.
This project is proudly managed by Artback NT.
